All notarization fees are based on the California Government Code 8211.
California notary code allows notaries to charge a maximum of $15 per each
notarized signature and an additional travel fee, which must be disclosed
separate from the notarization charges. To expedite the notary service, without
additional fees, please be certain all documents to be notarized are
appropriately completed before your scheduled appointment.

Notary Appointment Preparation & Requirements

Documents are ready and completes.
Before signing in the presence of a notary, documents should be filled out in
their entirety. If there are any questions concerning your document please
inquire about this in advance from the appropriate parties. A notary in unable
to draft, alter, or provide legal or professional advice concerning your
document. With tens of thousands of agencies requiring notarization, it is best
to direct questions about your document concerns and requirements to an
attorney, industry professional, or the receiving agency for the best answers.

Signers have proper Identification.
Each signer must have active government issued ID reflecting the exact name on
the document. Bringing two forms is always best. Driver's License, State ID
Card, Passport and/or Military ID preferred. Contact your notary in advance if
these IDs are unavailable.

Signers are of sound mind and able to communicate with the notary.
Each signer must be of right mind and good mental capacity to sign, further
being able to understand the significance of the transaction. If a signer
speaks a language other than english, please contact us to provide a bilingual
notary. If the signer is within a healthcare or skilled nursing facility, a
doctor or ombudsmen may be required for the transaction.

Signers are willful and ready.
Each signer must be signing documents of their own volition. The notary will
only move forward with the transaction if he/she finds all parties willingly
ready to sign.

Schedule in Advance.
Scheduling in advance strengthens the notary transaction in multiple ways. The
person drafting the document will have time to proof if it for errors and
affirm that it is correct without being rushed. When scheduling in advance,
all signers have sufficient time to "sleep on their decision". Giving signers
this time ensures that they are truly making a commitment to what they are
signing. These steps protect all the parties involved, limits liabilities, and
protects your transaction. Taking some time before the appointments alleviates
headache later.
Notary Appointment Preparation for Loan Transactions

Please allow a minimum of 1 hour 15 minutes for your loan signing.
Signings typically take about 1 hour for review of loan terms and the signing
through of all the documents. It is best to clear your schedule a bit longer to
ensure everything is done correctly. The banks have a lot of conditions that
need to be met, many of which include the dotting or your "i"s and crossing or
your "t"s! Give your notary some time to set up, sign at a moderate pace, and
let your notary check everything properly afterward.

If applicable, have your closing check ready on notary's arrival.
If your loan or escrow officer has indicated a check will need to be collected
for the escrow closing, please have it ready for the notary at the time of the
appointment. The notary can also direct you to the estimated closing statement
to see if the moneys due have since changed.

Be prepared for "quirky" bank signing conditions within your documents.
The banks have tightened their reigns on all borrowing, and in turn, they've
implemented tight funding conditions. They've implemented instructions within
your loan that have you "sign your name exactly as it appears on the
documents", "initial legibly and date clearly", and "do not strike-through".
We've found that not complying with these conditions typically results in a
redraw of documents, an additional package signing, and a lot more money and
time wasted. Ultimately, we leave it to your discretion.
